Chickens!


These two hens, along with the rest of our flock, spend their days ranging a securely fenced woodsy pasture, their nights in a roomy, airy coop.They eat excellent feed with no GMOs and no soy, along with good things from our garden. (Overgrown zucchini is a treat if you're a chicken--not so much for us humans.)

Our chickens are happy and healthy, and their eggs are wonderful. You don't have to take my word for that--pick up a dozen at our farm market table and try them yourself!

Right now we have 25 Leghorn hens laying 20-or-so eggs each day for our farm market table (and our own kitchen table, of course). Their number will double when these little girls grow up in a few months:
